Information is everywhere. Knowing what to do with it is different.

Many professionals know the terminology. AAC. Multilingualism. Language difference. Cultural responsiveness. Early communication.

But real children rarely fit perfectly into a textbook.

A multilingual child may also use AAC. A child with few spoken words may communicate successfully through gestures, signs, pictures, devices, vocalizations, or several modalities at once. A family may use different languages across different caregivers.

A teacher may understand what AAC is, but still not know how to model it during circle time. A clinician may recognize bilingual development, but still struggle to determine whether concerns reflect difference or disorder.
