OUR MISSION
Communication access should never depend on language, culture, or ZIP code.
Hand in Hand Speech Therapy serves multilingual and culturally diverse families across New York City, Long Island, and the surrounding areas. Many of the children on our caseload live in communities where access to specialized pediatric speech-language services has been limited.
Clinicians who join us provide thoughtful, evidence-based care that respects a child's full linguistic repertoire, separates language difference from language disorder, uses dynamic assessment and caregiver interview, and supports AAC and multimodal communication when speech alone is not enough.
Our work is community-based and family-centered. We meet children where communication actually happens, and we empower caregivers to carry strategies into everyday routines long after a session ends.

Position availability may include part-time, per diem, and contract opportunities depending on practice needs.
Ideal candidate
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology / Communication Sciences and Disorders
- New York State Speech-Language Pathology licensure where required
- ASHA CCC-SLP where required for the position
- Appropriate New York educational credentials where applicable
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in mobile or community settings
- Reliable transportation where required for assigned service areas
- Professional liability coverage where applicable
Requirements may be adjusted depending on the employment arrangement and current openings.
Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologists are strongly encouraged to apply.
STUDENTS
Graduate student clinical placements
Hand in Hand Speech Therapy is interested in building partnerships with university graduate Speech-Language Pathology programs to support students seeking pediatric clinical learning experiences in community-based, culturally responsive practice.
Through these partnerships, we aim to help prepare emerging clinicians to serve diverse, multilingual children and families with confidence, cultural responsiveness, and strong clinical foundations.
